Editorial Policy
The standards every page on Somnora is written to, and the things we will not do to rank better.
Last updated September 1, 2026
Our purpose
Every page should leave a reader better informed than a manufacturer's product description would. If a page cannot offer genuine information gain, we do not publish it.
How research is done
- We start from the reader's situation — sleep position, build, complaint — not from a list of products to promote.
- Product facts come from official product pages, specification sheets and manufacturer support documentation.
- Where a specification is not published, we write “Not clearly stated” rather than estimating or inferring it.
- We do not copy manufacturer descriptions; product information is summarised in our own words and attributed.
Labelling of information
- Verified product information — details we could confirm from published documentation.
- Manufacturer claims — statements made by the seller that we cannot independently verify.
- Customer feedback — publicly available user comment, treated as feedback rather than evidence.
- Editorial interpretation — our own view, always identifiable as such.
What we will not publish
- Invented experts, clinicians, laboratories, testing or certifications.
- Claims of hands-on testing we have not carried out.
- Fabricated reviews, testimonials, ratings, review counts, prices, discounts or availability.
- Star ratings or numeric scores without a transparent scoring methodology behind them.
- Claims that a pillow treats, cures or reverses a medical condition.
- Countdown timers, fake stock warnings, artificial urgency or misleading discount framing.
- Near-duplicate pages targeting the same search intent with swapped keywords.
Health-related content
Sleep and comfort topics touch on health, so we write carefully. We use language such as “may provide support” and “some people may prefer”, we state that individual fit varies, and we recommend consulting an appropriately qualified healthcare professional for persistent or serious symptoms. See our medical disclaimer.
Updates and corrections
Pages carry a last-updated date. Product information changes frequently, so reviews and comparisons are revisited when we become aware of a change. If you find an error, contact us with the page URL and the detail concerned; we will check it against the source, correct what is wrong, and update the date on the page.
Commercial content
Affiliate links are placed after useful information, never before it, and are disclosed at the top of the site, in the footer, and beside each commercial call to action. A commercial relationship never determines a conclusion. See the affiliate disclosure.
